The Process

Creating your resume is a collaborative process. Whether starting from scratch or working with a draft you already have, the packages offered by The Resume Nerd include a one-hour phone consultation and start at $150.

As a member of the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Coaches, I have access to a large network of hiring professionals in all fields. I am adept at working with new career folks, students, career changers, mid-career people, senior executives, and military job seekers looking to translate their skills into the civilian workforce.

I understand current trends and the role that the online job search plays in it. I will make sure your resume is not going into the “black hole” of the cyberspace job board and help you with your strategy for using LinkedIn and other tools. We will work together to make sure that your professional brand sets you apart from the competition and that your resume passes the 6-second test.

Generally, I can turn around a resume in about a week, including the one-hour phone consultation. I provide only original content – no boilerplate language or overused templates. If you need a quicker turnaround, please contact me at theresumenerd@gmail.com and I will do my best to accommodate you. Rush fees may apply. I can also coach you on how to prepare for your interview; networking, sprucing up you LinkedIn profile, or you can hire me to write your LinkedIn profile, and/or a custom cover letter. I accept PayPal, even if you don’t have a PayPal account. How it works is I email you and invoice and you can pay me via electronic check. Or, you can snail mail me a check. You don’t pay me until you are happy with the finished product and you will receive fully editable final word documents that are yours to keep and use, and edit, as needed. I’d love to hear from you!
